Awakening Psychiatry Clinic & Wellness Centre was founded in Thane with one guiding purpose — to make compassionate, evidence-based mental health care accessible to everyone.
Founded in 2016 by Dr. Swaroop Bhatankar, Awakening Psychiatry began as an outpatient practice serving children, adolescents and adults across Thane. Over the years, it has grown into a multidisciplinary clinic — bringing together psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists and child-focused therapists under one roof.
Alongside clinical care, our founder has contributed to postgraduate psychiatric training, community mental health research with NIMHANS and the University of Southern California, and school mental health advocacy across Navi Mumbai and Thane.
